Journeyman Plumber

Dwell United, a leading home services company, is seeking a highly skilled Master Plumber to join our team. This role will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of plumbing expertise, professionalism, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the Master Plumber will serve as a leader to junior plumbers, apprentices, and technicians, helping to train and mentor the next generation of skilled professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings.
Conduct diagnostic tests to identify plumbing issues and propose practical solutions.
Collaborate with other trade professionals on multi-disciplinary projects.
Lead and mentor junior plumbers, apprentices, and technicians, facilitating on-the-job training and skill development.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal plumbing codes and regulations.
Develop and implement customer service best practices to ensure client satisfaction.
Assist in project management activities, including the planning, execution, and closing of projects.
Great communication with Dispatch and Area Manager to ensure efficient scheduling of plumbing staff and resources.
Adopt and promote Dwell United's core values and company policies.
Qualifications
Maintains a valid Master Plumber license in Wichita, Kansas, and surrounding counties
Minimum of 10 years of plumbing experience
Strong understanding of plumbing codes and regulations
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication abilities
Must possess a valid driver's license
Must be able to pass criminal background and drug test
Experience in running residential and commercial service calls
Additional Requirements
Demonstrated leadership skills, particularly in mentoring junior staff
Studies or experience in project management is a strong advantage
Proficiency with plumbing software for diagnostics and invoicing
Availability for scheduled on-call, weekend, and holiday work
Effective use of the company systems, software, and tools
Customer service experience with strong client references
Dual Certification: A second certification such as Electrician and HVAC Technician license is highly desirable for cross-functional capability and leadership.
Bilingual Skills: Proficiency in a second language, especially one common among our client and partner base, will be considered a strong asset for customer interactions.
Support company scheduled/rostered overtime to support evenings, weekends, and emergency event coverage.
Physical Requirements
Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work in crawlspaces and attics.
